Blockchain Based Healthcare Platform Announced by Solve.Care

Blockchain in Healthcare- Looking Beyond the Rosy Picture

Solve.Care, a blockchain-based, “global platform for healthcare benefit administration and payments,” is launching a platform for remote medicine, according to an announcement sent to CoinTelegraph.

Essentially, the group is building a platform for those in healthcare to communicate with users and other people around the world. This could mean checking in on prices, availability, and more, the publication notes.

This exchange is called the Global Telehealth Exchange (GTHE), and it will be available around the world over time, though in specific countries at first.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has severely tested the way healthcare systems are organized and delivered from a number of perspectives. Now, more and more patients are reluctant to visit their doctors due to the pandemic. Medical practitioners who are not primarily involved in treating Covid-19 cases have experienced a significant drop in patient appointments. The launch of Global Telehealth Exchange is geared towards remedying this imbalance,” reads the press release.

Recently, as InsideBitcoins has previously reported on, blockchain is incredibly useful in healthcare. Part of this reasoning is because this allows the democratization of information, meaning that patients would have control of their own information, rather than doctors and hospitals having it. That way, they can choose what to share with who and possibly even benefit financially from it.
